Comenius Exhibition at College Colbert !

Here you have the pictures of the preparation of the Comenius exhibition which takes place in the library of the College.

Pupils selected the best pictures of the second mobility in Spain, they wrote some texts and drew about their feelings once back from the trip.
They are proud of their productions, and happy to share this unforgettable experience with all the pupils and teachers!

Welcome Najime !

Friday 29th of January, Najime came for the first time in our classroom. He showed us his artistic work by a commented Power Point, and he introduced us with the art of graffiti and calligraphy!

Pieces of puzzle

The participants of the project will receive large wood pieces of puzzle. Colbert has got nine pieces. The pieces will complete the fresco of Najime HOCINI and will be stuck on the wall.
The pupils have divided into small groups. Three or four people work on the same piece of puzzle. It will mix the art of graffiti, calligraphy, drawing and painting. The technique used will be acrylic painting and not aerosols, because it’s not allowed to use aerosols inside the classroom.
To welcome the tramway and to symbolize the opening and the mixing of cultures, five groups will work on the theme of the five continents, and four will work on the theme of the tramway.
When the themes were delivered, almost all pupils wanted to work on the theme of Africa! We also decided to make a collective work especially for that piece of puzzle. For the other themes, we have made drawing lots!

Graffiti !

Do you know the art of graffiti ?
Here at Colbert, some pupils of 4eme are very lucky. They have the opportunity to welcome an artist of Reims in their art classroom for a few. He signs his artistic productions with the pseudo SER but his real name is Najime HOCINI. He’s a graffiti artist.
He has been invited by the city of Reims to join an artistic and sociologic project which takes place in Orgeval. He will produce a large fresco made of graffiti on a big wall in the heart of the neighborhood,precisely at the bottom of the big chimney which warms all the houses of Orgeval.

The fresco holds greatness in store! Nothing less than 50 meters long and 4 meters high!
The project is not only the work of Najime HOCINI. The inhabitants of Orgeval are invited to take part in the work, aiming at learning to discover the art of graffiti, and leaving a message on the wall.
The fresco is made to welcome the new tramway in the district. This is a real revolution for Orgeval, and that will completely transform the way people move from one place to the other. It will be easier for them to reach the city center, and to have access to the shops, cultural places, cinemas, parks, mueeums… They will not be isolated anymore. It’s a real metamorphosis for the neighborhood of Orgeval.

With Najime HOCINI, the pupils of 4D of Colbert will leave their track on the wall and be part of the city history!
